Thats a toughie, the Shannara books are a quicker read I think, so if you do them first you should have plenty of time to re-read WOT

I read sword of Shannara and was unimpressed. If I wanted lotr I've have picked up lotr.

The riftwar saga by Raymond E Feist, then probably the empire series he co wrote with Janny Wurts ;D

The first 3 Shannara books are a little unimpressive, they pick up after that. They are important though if you wish to read the rest because they are like the history of the world.

So it's like the first lord of the rings book

Yeah, I didn't remember that It was so long ago that I read them, I just remember that the first 3 sucked.

How about picking up on Malazan?  I was thinking of reading Esselmont's Night of Knives then picking up where I left off in Deadhouse Gates (Chapter One >.>)

i do that every time i fall asleep and i do that daily. Apparently Demi only showers once a week.

Once a week seems a bit much.

We are gonna have to do something about that.
