Demand Demandred!

Featured Replies

Mazrim Taim was active as a False Dragon before Demandred was released from the Bore. Thus, he cannot be Mazrim Taim. In order to be perceived as Mazrim Taim, he would have to pose as Mazrim Taim. As RJ has told us that Demandred has never posed as Mazrim Taim, your theory is void.

Don't understand why Dem couldn't replace Taim after Taim's escape sometime during tDR/tSR. Why would Dem have to be Taim prior to that?

It's because RJ has told us that Dem isn't 'posing' as Mazrim Taim. Some people suggest this means that he could have been Mazrim Taim all along, and had created the individual... therefore he wouldn't be posing, but this isn't the case since Mazrim Taim existed prior to Demandred's release, and since the non-posing clause forbids Demandred from having assumed Taim's identity following his release, Demandred cannot be Taim.

On top of which RJ says we've never met who Demandred is posing as, and we've met Taim a bunch of times.

It feels totally wrong that with so many hints on the other forsaken, that Demandred should be totally out of the picture until the very last book. Assuming that really is the case... why? RJ must be having some grand plan involving this guy, surely. And if so... there should be some hints towards this already in the books.
