Garbage disposals should not be abused. If you abuse one, be prepared to fish out globs of miscellaneous biological matter from your pipes to unclog your sink while the water that was backed up showers you and everything in a five foot radius. Bonus: if it’s warm water, it’s even more disgusting.

True, and there is always the chance that the accumulated biological matter will create a new form of life.
