The New NFL Suicide Game

Featured Replies

I just beat Soy in the last one when he picked the Eagles to win over the Raiders... how silly was that choice btw...

I am starting up a new one.  If you are interested you must have your picks in by the first game each week (could be Thur if there are Thursday games).

Since we are mid season there is a twist.... you can only choose the matchups I list.

I will post the games tomorrow once the odds are up.

It wasn't as bad as the Redskins losing to the Lions, like what happened to me. I thought that was a Redskins win all over!

Between the Eagles and my Jets, my pool lost about 100 members this week (25% of the population).  It started at 900+ entries, and is down to 330.

Ha - can't pick the Redskins against a decent team - that's why I took them week 2, to beat StL.  And Jax this week.  Just 330 people to beat out, and the flatscreen TV is mine! (the pool I'm in is run by a vendor we use  ;D)

Ok here we go.  Again this one is different since we are already many games in.  Basically we are going to finish out the season based on points.  I am going to group games based on opening odds and assign points to them.  If you pick the correctly you will get that many points.  At the end of the season we will see who comes out on top. No one can be eliminated if you pick wrong. You can also choose the same team as many times as you like.

3 Point Games

Minnesota at Pittsburg

Buffalo at Carolina

Chicago at Cincinnati

Atlanta at Dallas

San Francisco at Houston

2 Point Games

San Diego at Kansas City

Philadelphia at Washington

1 Point Games

Green Bay @ Cleveland

Jets @ Oakland

New Orleans @ Miami

Arizona at Giants

5 Point Games (You gotta choose the highlighted team though)

Indy @ St Louis

New England @ Tampa Bay

I'm gonna pick Carolina.  I think they finally remembered their offenses bread and butter last week, and that is the running game.  so if they keep that up they should be fine against Buffalo's last ranked rushing defense, even worse than Tampa's, who Carolina rushed for over 250 yards on.

Everyone is picking the 3 point games.

My gut says Carolina.... but Steve Smith has like 5 yards all year (well more) and Jake likes to give the other team as many chances as possible to win.  I hope they run it 50 times again this week but if I am buffalo I am stacking the box and rushing Jake.  I would make Carolina prove to me they can pass the ball.

I am going a little safer so when all you guys picking the ... no wait... I will make it interesting.

I pick Pittsburg.  Suck it Hax!

Hmm, Vikings vs Packers is 'almost' a gaurnteed Win. (Depends if they fix that 'hole' in there defense that was talked about or not, and if the Packers have been studying them or not.)

On the otherhand, I could risk 5 points and go for the 49rs.

Think I'll pick the [glow=red,2,300]Vikings[/glow].

Bears vs Browns? Thats to tough to call, both teams suck... Brown Bears? Yuck~

I'm really tempted to take the 49ers here but I think,  instead I'll go with the safe pick: Packers

I got a feeling that I will regret this, but I will take the [glow=red,2,300]Titans[/glow]. They are my hometown team and can't bring myself to vote against them. Plus I think that their slide can't last forever. The Titans turn it around this week with Vince Young back under center. VY got replaced in a Jaguars game at home; it only makes since that he would return in a Jauars game at home (I just hope that it doesn't involve a gun and a police manhunt this time.  ::) )
