*sighs*  I was afraid of this.

 

First, cross the laces, next intertwine them once and pull, then put one finger on the middle where they meet and use the other hand to create a loop with one lace, then circle the other lace around the loopy lace and stick it through the area in between the 2 laces, finally pull so that they are even.

I added twine after crossing them....it just added more strings to work with.
