Me too... I'm always baffled at first when people change their avys, because I always look at that, not the name to see who's talking. Now I'm gonna be all befuddled and it's your fault! *mean face*

Yup, me too.  It's always a bit disorienting at first.  I'm sorry.  And I also apologize for all the future avi changes I will make.  But you could just look at the text colour instead.  Bliggy is the only other person who uses blue, I think.
