I imagine Shai'tan to look more abstract

Now I understand why the taint made me think about petrol, and how the drifting of bubbles of evil looks like :)

;)

But at least the colour black exists, whereas dragons don't. (Though 'black' could be regarded as an absence of colour rather than a colour in its own right.)

Be Careful. Enters sarcastic modes

That's right, FarShainMael. They don't exist, so they shouldn't be named. And what about our Hydra, Chimaera and Cerberus? Did you ever saw one in the streets?? ;D

We also named things that doesn't visibly exists. It's either an abstract notion (like a feeling) or something unexisting. And by happenstance, they named Lews Therin Dragon and pictured a Dragon on his banner that looks a lot like our Dragons that don't exist. What a coincidence!

sarcastic mode off

(Sorry for this, I had a hard working day and needed to drop pressure ;) )

It's why it's hard to guess what the DO looks like. It's like asking someone to sketche love. You could make a visual metaphor everybody will understand, but not be love in itself.

That's why I think the DO will appear through a vessel like Shaidar Haran. And we probably won't have further description that silver and black clouds, a tall Myrrdraal with a sarcastic sense of humour. No black cloud tempesting in the Pit of Doom or a burst of flammes and fire and smoke and the rest....
