Summoned ATTN: Kathleen Sedai

Valeri sat calmly, as the Novice before her spilled out her tale of having her block broken. Elin had actually struck an Aes Sedai with the One Power, Kathleen had instigated and encouraged it true, but still it could be dismissed without punishment.

"Elin, you have assaulted an Aes Sedai. That is unacceptable. Even having been encouraged to act, you know your place better than that. If you do not learn to control your emotions you will never become Aes Sedai."

The child standing before Valeri's desk was looking at her feet. The emotions flickering across her face were a mosaic of embarassment, humiliation, fear and a touch of anger.

"Child, while it is good that you have broken your block and can now channel freely and confidant in the knowledge that it is you channelling, you will spend any free time for the next month in the laundrys. I will not have my Novices assaulting Aes Sedai. Is that understood?"

The child's eyes brimmed with tears as she nodded, and Valeri dismissed Elin from her presence.
