How about Scandinavian metal such as Nightwish, Amorphis and Opeth?

 

I highly enjoy Opeth when I'm in the mood for it, though they can be incredibly dull at times. Nightwish wouldn't get any playtime in my house even if someone pointed a gun at me.

 

And right now I'm listening to the most skilled scandinavian metal band ever, Meshuggah :D
