Indeed. I'm pretty sure the Olver=Darkfriend post was also a joke. Or I hope so.

 

Though Olvendred being real would be awesome. Do it, Mr. Sanderson! Do it!

We all know the DO has turned children to the Darkside so it is not so far fetched that Olver maybe a Darkfriend.

 

I also thought food spoiling was a clue to the presents of DF being present, but I'm not sure which book it became part of the plot or if it ever.

 

I myself have thought it was bit of stage meeting between Olver and Mat, and I always had a feeling no proof though, that Olver was a Darkfriend, but not any more.

I don't think people'd find Olver-the-Darkfriend heart-warming and amusing, though. :) So I don't think that's the case. Or that's my hope.
