I specifically read an interview with RJ where he very specifically says that Taim is NOT Demandred and that we haven't seen Demandred's alter ego up until that point which was AFTER Taim's appearance. I don't remember where it was exactly but I believe it was on the WoT books Encyclopedia webpage. I remember it clearly because I was so disappointed that I thought I had figured out who Taim was...but alas, I had not (per RJ).

When Sammael was consumed by Mashadar; wasn't his soul consumed as well and therefore he can not be re-born or better said implanted in the body of another person ,,, and ,,, doesn't the body that the Shadow use's to re-implant one of his followers souls in have to belong to one of the Shadows Followers anyway,,, otherwise ,,, why wouldn't the Shadow just go ahead and kidnap the souls of other key people and replace them with the Souls of his Faithful Servants / not necesarily Forsaken

 

Remember what happened when the DO (Taint) touched Shadar Logoth?  Remember the DO and Fain's dagger in Rand's wound?

 

Sammael's soul has been tainted somehow, and if the DO were to try and grab it back, I'm sure there would be fireworks.
