the sun weighs more, like a lot more, its absolutley massive and even though it mainly consists of Hydrogen and Helium, those gasses are at high pressures from the heat and gravity

the more mass you have, the greater the gravity that you exert, e.g. the moon weighs less than the earth and so has less gravity, jupiter (or the sun!) is much more massive (as in the mass is greater) and so has a greater gravity because of that

you see mass is a measure of the weight of the particles making up a substance (now ain't that a textbook answer), and is measured in kilograms. Weight on the other hand is mass multiplied by the force of gravity (which is measured as acceleration), mass is measured in Newtons (I wonder why?).

this therefore means that wherever you are in the universe, whether on earth, Jupiter, or Betelgeuse your mass is constant. Your weight will change depending on the gravity you experience at these locations

You see, part of what Einsteins theory of relativity states is that when you are approaching the speed of light time will pass more slowly

one goes one a ten year journey at the speed of light (or as close to it that you can get), the other stays on earth

after ten years when the twins meet up again, the twin that met up on the journey will hardly have aged over the ten years because time passed more slowly for him (the ten year timeframe was from an earth perspective)

Though I'll probably be writing another one in the next couple of days.

Especially when you have different perspectives and beliefs from the person you're discussing with.
