and soon i will also be cooking dinner and cleaning the house and maybe baking some blueberry boy bait. we'll see how the days go. but my sims are in peril from lack of attention.

No, I played it for a while, and I want to do it again, but I have to install it, and so on. Too much work.

i prefer to let them take their chances at this point.

and i'm also listening to a podcast. so i'm assuming someone's getting hit by a meteorite.

they usually have enough time to get out of the way, but it really messes with their property. and sometimes they catch on fire cause they're idiots.

You play the Sims 3? In 2, which I played, they were not clever enough to survive if you didn't told them. I heard they were able to survive on their own in 3.

i have sims 3, which i don't enjoy as much as i did sims 2, but the sims are smarter (one reason they're not as much fun, actually), and can survive most things on their own OK. but i usually notice the meteorite coming (shadow overhead, then everything gets dark, and a whistling sound) and make them move. but sometimes they jum around hysterically freaking out about the ensuing fire and catch on fire themselves.

in sims 2 you get them into a pool and take away the ladders. in sims 3 they can get out without ladders. so you have to wall in the pool after they get in if you want them to drown, and even then it taks forever and leaves a messy ghost.

if 2 has ghosts, i think it would. i don't remember 2 well, but the ghosts leave reminders of the way they died, like starved ones get angry when you run out of food, and drowned ones leave puddles, and such.

and killed by flies ones leave piles of garbage (yeah, i'm remembering 2 has ghosts, they're just not as interactive as 3), and burned ones leave ashes, etc.

in 3 family gathers to inherit, and the reaper brings hula girls... not sure about the ghost, prolly a normal silver one.

i only kill mine when i'm very tired of them.

i'd reinstall 2 if i had a bigger computer.

i usually just make new ones, too, but sometimes i just. . . well, you know. everybody kills somebody sometime.
