i find it so. if you check out the archives there's quite a lof of really cool stuff. if i ever get my living room cleared out i'm making some of those cardboard cat condos. nice structual stability and ease of construction, in designs i would not have considered.

 

but more better geek stuff for those with talent and understanding of math and engineering and electronics and such.

oh engineering not my subject too much geometry

that's why i'm sticking to the cardboard box projects. already engineered.

 

but there's something for everyone there, i think. some of the LED stuff looks pretty easy and interesting to me. but you get into circuit boards, and i'm done.

I did some 3d computer modeling stuff in high school. Didn't stick with that class for enough years to get to circuit boards

I did the first two years of the classes, I just decided not to continue with those classes. So I didn't drop out mid-year

so hat did u end up doing instead?

hmm... Just took some other classes that were normal stuff... English classes, a few social studies ones....

that seems confusing to me, over here you take a subject and then you have a set amount of lessons with that subject, were those classes just more specific or what?

over here we often stay undecided for quite a while. and some areas of study leave room for a lot of electives not necessary for the major.

Those classes were "engineering" but in taking those classes I realized that it wasn't for me.

 

Some kids go to university even not knowing what they want to do with their lives. I'm pretty set on my path now though

i didn't decide until mandated. and even then, i just picked the easiest thing i could. i wasn't in school for the learning.

What were you in school for?

to get away from home and grow up.

seems legit. I always thought of that as a byproduct though.

for me it was the only motivation. i would have preferred to get a job and move out, but mom insisted college, and it got me farther away, though it took me another.... 20 years before i was making as much money as i could have straight out of HS staying in NY, but. away from home was very good.

 

i didn't actually grow up for quite some time... not sure i've ever done that, now that i think of it.

I hear growing up is overrated.

that's what i'm counting on. lord knows working and paying bills is less than zero fun.
