And the lecture-format is because that is something of a minor sore point for me. XD Not so much that Verb has a higher post count than anyone, supposedly, but because it gives people the wrong impression, which matters to those of us who (somewhat foolishly) care about postcount. XD

Carry on.

I know this is the wrong sg but I just wanted to point out that this is an important day for me and Leelou.

I haven´t tried them either. It´s weired because I have tasted many things. (My mom works at a restaurant.) They eat them more on the west coast. Here, on the east coast, there are no oysters in the sea. Would you recommend them?

oysters are a love em or hate em thing... but can be an acquired taste.

i love shucking them because it's satisfying, and not easy to figure out, but very easy when you have figured it out.

i'd try them with a nice hot sauce first....

actually, you might want to try them cooked first. fried, or in a nice creamy stew.

for raw they have to be very fresh, and you really have to trust who you're getting them from.

i'd definitely recommend them. go to a raw bar with a very good rep and someone who knows what they're about.

I'll have to keep that in mind!! I used to be something of a sissy when it came to trying new foods, but I'm a lot braver now.

Also, today was a really really long day, and it's not even over yet. XD
