Not horrified but I recently reconnected with a childhood friend, who from what I remember was a nerdy fat kid with minor aspergers. I reconnected at the age of 18 and he is now a nerdy, ripped, six four monster of a man with a Klingon batlith on the wall and every Star Trek action figure mint In box, signed by the actor who played them.
