I haven't played The Game of Life in so long... a friend just bought it and now we's playing.

 

WEIRD.

I think I played it a lot as a kid, until I got more siblings and they lost all the little pieces. Of which there are many.

Like the little cars...the TINY peg-people that go in the cars...the money tiles... XD

It's fun.

 

I'm trying to remember if I ever chose to go to college or if I always just started my career.

ah. no siblings until iw as 20. no games like that.

I played with my parents. And my brother who's a year younger than me...

 

I can't imagine what it would be like with no siblings. XD They've just kind of always...been there.

my family played rummy with me. they weren't into board games.

I used to lurv rummy, I haven't played in so long though.

it's a real letdown when the game is over. didn;t realize that before. used to just be a relief.

We played lots of spades and lots of hearts. Some rummy.

i couldn't learn hearts and never tried spades. ithink we played mah jong and chinesecheckers, and grandma loved the ouiji board, ouija? dunno. and there was a game with cardboard and markers and liek suits of cards, can't remember the name... but mainly rummy, every day. for pennies.

We play spades here all the time. I have a new found love for it.

It's like the complete opposite of the way you play hearts, so yes I would even say moreso. I didn't catch on to it as fast as I did hearts.

yeah. don;t think i could learn it. like chess, couldn;t manage it.

You have to have a good partner to play it well.

i remember being completely unable to grasp it. it involved thinking ahead or something. i can think in straight lines, but not usually in lots of potential directions. so never got to the point where a partner would have made a dif.

I always found Spades to be a much easier game than Hearts. I may just be wired different tho. We used to play hearts and cribbage on the ship for anywhere from nickel to quarter a point.

I play a lot of cribbage here when I am on mission in Iraq. It always helps to pass the time.
