surely it must be like past midnight...

yeah, its 3:13 AM

that makes me feel real old

i haven't stayed up this late in ages (just kidding, i think there were a couple saturday nights in the last month or two that i stayed up this late but i was at a friend's house and we were talking the whole time), i mean i have to work at 6 AM on Monday so staying up this late isn't gonna help me get to bed any earlier tonight

I just noped out as soon as I saw 3:13, my sleep schedule's too rigid for that

and i need my thyroid levels tested, tbh mayo sent me a kit to take to the lab at the hospital or to my physician's office so they could draw my blood and mail it back to mayo

but i tend to intentionally not sleep when i'm getting depressed so i'm not really surprised, i just have to be proactive and fight the urge

I'm sure you've got this :)

think you have hypothyroidism or something?

I function best on a stable sleep schedule but my work schedule doesn't really allow for that. Well I suppose it does, I rarely work past 7pm currently, but then I'd have to get up at 5 or 6 am EVERY DAY because some days I work at 6 or 7 and it's like...on the days i DO work till 7, i don't want to have to go to sleep at 10 bc that doesn't give me much time to wind down and everything after walking home eating, changing, and everything like that, plus it takes me a bit to fall asleep...so yeah. And once I'm actually a manager I'll probably have some nights where I close and then open the next morning, so there's really no point in trying at this time xD

yeah i do have it, i was diagnosed with hashimoto's thyroid disorder when i was 9 years old, it's just that we've never felt like i was being treated competently and i've had all sorts of health problems related to my thyroid so that was the main reason i went to the mayo clinic. and yeah, they confirmed i wasn't being treated by someone who knew what they were doing. so they changed my medicine and they wanted to test me after i'd been on it a month to see how my levels were doing. and they encouraged me to find a new physician. it's just been money, really. i don't have money to be spending on all this.

i mean obviously yeah i have to pay for my medication, that's kind of just been a given, but i hate going to the doctor unless i ABSOLUTELY have to :/

so basically if i'm not dying, i only go in when my doctor refuses to renew my prescription without testing my thyroid levels lol

and that's only the physical health side of it but the harder thing to deal with is the mental health side because it's just so dang expensive and we live far enough away from decent professionals that it's so hard to make it work

i was told to do cognitive behavior therapy too, and to actually hahha now i feel guilty because they told me to read a book about sleeping bc they want me to clean up my sleep hygiene which iv'e been doing so well on until tonight aaaahhhhh oooops but they said cognitive behavior therapy, sleep hygiene, and the antidepressants, which i should monitor with someone down here near where i live but that's so tough

but yeah i should go to bed, hopefully i don't sleep too late, although lately i've been sleeping enough that it's very possible that i could get up at noon adn still go to sleep just fine at 10 or 11
