i'm laughing because i worked at 6am today and i meant to go to bed at a decent hour and then the entire midnight memories album leaked and i was like "frick i can't go to bed now" so i was up really late

last night i mean

so i got about 4 hours of sleep

but holy crap, this album is SO DIFFERENT from their past albums holy cow

it's like indie/rock kinda, it's not necessarily a consistent sound through the whole album, but the thing i noticed the most is the abundance of very 80s-sounding stuff, a lot of classic rock vibes, it's crazy, i'm still kind of in shock

like the boys actually had a lot more to do with making the album, they wrote most of the songs themselves so they actually got to make the music more what they actually want to sing

i was listening to this album and i'm like "wow i bought tickets for what i was thinking was gonna be a pop concert, now i know i'm actually going to a rock concert in june"
