how'd they find it?

Pure chance really - well, I'd reported it, and a few weeks later they found a bike similar to the description, "owned" by some foreign guy who often travels back and forth along that train route where my bike got stolen. They may have had tabs on him from earlier incidents....can't really remember. This was back last year, just took so long cos they had to identify the bike - he'd filed away its number quite thoroughly, but with special policey powers (aka some kind of magic acid) they managed to recover all the numbers. :)

 

Does anyone realise how hard it is to stab your own finger?
