If I feel something on the right side of my body and not my left, or vice versa, I feel unbalanced until I can repeat it on the opposite side. Even when I'm walking about, sometimes I'll step on a crack in the pavement, and I'll feel this pressure where my foot hit the crack until I step on it with the same spot on my other foot.
