Why have they still not finished the Hobbit movie?

i do'nt know WE WANT ANSWERS...

 

Actually I think they have only just started it, all down to those silly unions and stuff with the actors!

I remember hearing about them starting to make it like 5 years ago, though....

They were talking about it five years, but I pretty sure that they just started serious planning less than a year ago.

There were all kinds of who owned the rights, some company owned the rights of the book and someone else owned the screen rights, or something silly, then there were problems with New Line and Peter jackson and he wasn't going to be involved. That got resolved and he was brought in as producer, then the director changed his mind and left and now PJ is directing as well. And then there was all that hassle with the actors union, and they were thinking they were going to have to film it elsewhere than New Zealand and PJ said he wouldn't do it if it was elsewhere. PJ has now just come out of an Emergency operation and the filming has been put back until Mar. So it looks 2012 for the film to come out!
