Compare & contrast WoT & ASoF&I

For me, song of ice and fire makes an interesting read and I love the series and had just ordered the books.

But I prefer wheel of time, because I feel for the world and characters more.

Song of ice and fire's characters tend to die off.

But in wheel of time, the characters can be with you through the whole series.

That makes them more memorable.

I completely agree. I liked ASOIAF, what i've read of it so far, but GRRM has completely failed to make me genuinely care about most of the characters and went ahead and killed some of the few i actually liked and felt some attachment to. Not caring about the characters doesnt make feel suspense when they're in danger or care whether they win or lose, and doesnt really drive me to be excited about reading on in the series.

With WOT - in contrast - i've been genuinely rooting for the 3 boys and some of the girls, and awesome side charactrers like Moiraine and Lan, since the first chapters of tEotW.

I feel attached to them and a vested interest in following their stories and finding out what happens to them. I cheer for them in their high points and victories and commisrate their failures and low points.
