As Hot Threads climb over the last peak of the mountain to the sun shining red and Fast Reply peers over the dock of life, so doth the Locke peek from behind the layers of cloth dusty thread.

DOH! How can they have taken away ninja editing?

There used to be a setting which was set to default or something that you could uncheck to ninja edit. Or maybe if didn't show up if you did it within the first 2 minutes of a post. That's crazy, it's just going to make people be honest about their typos...

I'm not sure. I always used to think that it was if you edited before the thread got viewed by anyone else it wouldn't show it. But when they switched to DM 8, they automatically made all edits ninja unless you clicked a button. But now that button is gone, and edits are...revealed to the world.

*edits, just to make sure*

Well the problem was, if someone got ninja editing somewhere, they got it everywhere for some reason. So they decided to just remove it entirely.

I know something (but not everything) about mafia, but how could you use this ninja editing?

  • Author

One of the rules in mafia is no editing posts. The general punishment for such an infraction is a modkill.

What if you make a spelling mistake? For me, it's awful if I see a spelling mistake, mostly if it's in my own post.

You gotta correct it in another post. I know, it itches, but that's the way it has to be.

So you are allowed to (kind of) double post?

(And sorry if I post to much. I think it's in my blood to spam)
