Nope, no Frodo. Frodo'd already left Middle Earth by the time my gateway opened in the Shire. And I think Master Samwise's great-grandchildren were getting somewhat old, too.

So no one you know, and no one important. >.>

Okay, all goodies. I'll have Pippin's great-great-great nephew then. With lembas side dish purlease.

Ooooooooooh can I have some Hobbit stew too? I love eating Hobbitses!

Oh and welcome! Did I say that already? I no remember. lol!

If not maybe Des can throw rock at me too and perhaps knock some politeness into me.

*goes searching for Des*.....

Nope he not here

I think you will fit in perfectly around here, we is much more fun than those Aes Sedai!!!

Rats, looks like I missed the brownies. I shall have to go lurk on another welcome thread.......

*runs to LTT's thread in the vain hope that here may be a tiny tainted morsel left*

*ladles a few gloops of Hobbit stew into another bowl for Louii* Lol here you are  Enjoy!

Hmm, I think you did say hello but meh, never can get enough of the welcomes  So Thank You!

Nooooo, don’t go!!! *pulls a tin of brownies from behind her back with a guilty face*

Here, you can have all you want…Why oh why does nobody love me? *sobs theatrically*

p.s. If you don’t come back, your Hobbit stew will go cold…*waves a spoon half-heartedly*

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I is back, I is back!!! Tina, how could you!!!

is there any left?

Oooooh! Many thanks, I is happy now! Choc chips AND bacon!!

*crouches down over the plate protectively*

My precioussss!!!

But I share the Precious with cindy-kitteh, not with nasty Tina!

oh, none for me, thanks, i'm driving.

but Tina's only nasty in the very best sense of the word, and she is very precioussss.

i bake her her own batch, sans bacon cause she's not there yet.

here Tina, all for you.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

You can´t just leave the food and expect it to be there when you come back. Then the food is cold and no one want to eat it. Think about all those cute hobbits that have given their life for it and then you´re just going to throw it away.

You know me, Cindy! Bacon is fine but not combined with chocolate. Will I ever get there?

for brownies, i would agree with crispy, though some of the drippings with the butter would be good...

for eating, i like my bacon just barely cooked, without the slightest hint of possible crisping. i don't like anything too cooked, really. the werewolf thing i guess.

don;t worry, Tina, you'll get there. you'll have the salty sweet epiphany yet.

My girl likes her bacon burnt to charcoal.

I like it on burgers and sometimes chicken sangwiches, never in chocolate

biggest flavor mistake ever was replacing lard with butter , shortening. at least not completely.

On the whole salty sweet thing. Think of being at the movies. You have your salty popcorn(is there anything saltier than movie popcorn?) and your drink which is probably a little sweet. You also have your junior mints to keep your taste buds interested between the two. Another one is some people will put salt on watermelon(not a lot) and it brings out the sweetness by providing contrast.

You try it one time and you will never turn back.

i think you might actually enjoy the nacho cheese doritos dipped in chocolate frosting....

interesting cooking tidbit - if you ever try to cook something, and it doesn't taste as good as the stuff you buy - the answer is almost always sugar or salt. a bit of sugar in the savory, a bit of salt in the sweet.

brownies are not brownies without a good helping of salt. well, and Taint. but mostly salt. steak is not steak without a little sprinkling of sugar. well, it is, but it's not as good.

it works for just about everything. you really want to activate as many taste buds as possible with any feeding event.

Chef speak sig quote?

*burbles happily as she follows the bacon conversation* I love it really well cooked. Same with steak...my brothers and dad barely cook it, I don't reeeaally mind it too much, but I very much like it well done too. Heck, they even eat raw meat at times...*stage-whispers* My littlest brother eats raw liver

EWWWWWWW *runs in tight circles screaming*
