you know what never ends? this sync for my new ipod. been going on since 8:30, and no end in sight. i thought i'd have another 100 borrowed discs in by now, but it's still in the middle of nowhere syncing. how can technology be this slow?

How much are you putting on it?

all i have in the itunes so far, maybe 35, 40 gigs? is that what they are? but it seems to be going ridiculously slowly, and i wanted to finish up this other batch of CDs so i could give them back on monday and borrow more. but i don't think this will be done for hours. hours and hours.

Don't you have a 32 gig ipod?

(oh, and btw, i think you'd be able to get along with most new yorkers. i always did, and i'm not good at the getting along thing. new yorkers know how to give you space where there isn't any and not make eye contact.)

i have a 32 touch, but i had to get the classic with the 160, cause i had too much music, and the touch was wasted on music - i meant it for movies. now i'm syncing the new one, and it's taking the rest of my natural lifetime.

That is true, there is just a rivalry between Massholes and New Yorkers.
