Why don't we have a sort of bonding?

Featured Replies

The WT has a bonding, the Aiel have a bonding, and I got the feeling some others have too. I know, maybe it'd be put in the suggestion box, but I think we can just spam while talking about it. And maybe it's just a crazy idea, not worth the suggestion box.

And of course it has to be something crazy - we are the Black Tower, after all. Maybe a Lightie and a Shadowie who "bond" each other and, by doing that, promise they'll always pick fights, say the other one is wrong, and so on? A bit like Maw and me.

O, and I also didn't put it in the suggestion box because I like points.

There is silly. I know Talm and charis bonded and I think other people have, though their bond is the only one I have witnessed. I think too many people don't really stay put at the BT to care about it much.

Also BT?

I think the bonding is just not active anymore in that case?

I think Locke and Mmeesh is bonded here too. I think Talmanes was going to post some information about bonding but he has a lot to do right now.

So there IS one. But what does it mean? Is it just like the WT bonding?

Going by storyline canon, we should be able to warder bond people just as easily as they can in the WT, and in fact our warder bonds wouldn't have to be as strictly regulated as there's a precedent in the books for bonding someone without their permission. In fact, Shadowies as well as lighties would be much more in their rights a bond holders to be able to use their bonds to compel their warders to do what we want.

Of course, this might end up getting abused somewhat, but it might actually be even more fun what with the taint and all

You can bond here, in fact you can do it however you wish and in what capacity that you wish. There have been no formal bondings though as it is each to their own. some people have even been force bonded (well get permission really ;) ). Some like to take on the master and slave bond, some bond mutally...it is up to each individuals to decide what they want.

There is nothing formal, because the BT in the books always seem to bonding when they feel like it and how they feel like it!

You can brother bond if you wish to...like I said it has always been up to those that wish to bond!

It's been more of a RP kind of thing, and just being bonded in general. You can bond, but you must be of Asha'man rank to do so. This is one of the perks of being an Asha'man.

But yeah the setting of your bond can be however you wish, you just have to be Asha'man. I was, and still am planning on writing up information about bonding, as a few people have asked, and there isn't a ton of reference to it in any of out current informational threads.

Muhahaha "master-slave" force bonding! That could be fun! tongue.gif

Lol of course Cindy.

And at least one of you must be Asha'man I should clarify.

i.e. I bonded Charis when I became Asha'man although she has no desire to go through the ranks.

Actually looking for a puppy dog to have hanging around and looking at me adoringly..... ;)

Was my question the one that started this thead?

The Wolfkin also have a sibling bond of sorts :)

So it's just the master-slave sort of bond here mainly?
