Sounds like sandfleas are a bit smaller than sandflies, but well, probably not quite that vicious...Ewgh!!! They just suck blood, but the bites itch - badly. Alot of people say you get used to it, but I still go ninja at them! <.< >.>

I'm sorry for most tourists, they really suffer badly.

There were soldier bugs (4 OF THEM) crawling and flying around my corner of my Russian classroom yesterday.. *shudders*
