Latin: Insanus sum

Let me guess...

Jag = I

är = am

galen = insane.

Is that correct?

"är" just sounds like a verb.

Maybe that other German is also correct... It sounds very much like Dutch, but I haven't learnt it.

Yo = I

estoy = insane

loco = am

I think?

It'd be the same as Latin.

You are right, Ley. It could also be Jag är vansinnig. Our languages is related to one another so some things are easy to understand. I can guess a lot of Dutch words since I know Swedish, Norwegian, English and some Danish and German.

*smites Ley* It is correct! I speaks it. :tongue:

Yo = I

estoy = I am

loco = insane/crazy

That's why I put Yo in brackets, it's not really needed.

That would certainly help... If you know German, you can almost read a Dutch newspaper, I think...

Then the word order changed in those two thousand years.

soy or estoy would depend on whether it was a permanent or temporary stte. and the yo would usually be dropped as redundant. not always but usually.

German:

Und wenn es nicht stimmt, wenn du nicht wahnsinnig waerst, dann wuerde ich mir sorgen um deinen geisteszustand machen...

and the best thing is, no one will know what I just said :biggrin: , except Nya of course :rolleyes: ... and maybe some others :unsure: or everyone! :ohmy:

there are more german-speaking people here than you think. But I doubt there's many frankonians...

BTW for others, This is NOT how you write Frankonian, just how you say it. You write it in normal german, just a different dialect and some new words thrown in.

Oh, and odelgrum is NOT frankonian, its Bavarian (and a bit barbarian :sad:)

Frankonians ARE bavarians, even if we don't like to admit it! And I doubt the others know what frankonians are :biggrin:
