So my friend who lives in Arizona finally decided to play Ocarina of Time, so I decided to join him. (we're both playing on emulators) What we do is use Skype to chat and then show our computer screens so we have our own game running and can see each other's game. It's actually really cool. (and quite nostalgic playing through it again)
