The young actor in that movie "Can't buy me Love" later played a doctor on the TV show "Grey's Anatomy". Apparently He is considered good-looking. The character's name was Mc (something or other), so in the best US tabloid fashion he was nicknamed McDreamy.

 

 

 

And there are numerous jokes about playing doctor.
