Anything but. I really like him, because he's a lot similar to me in some ways. He's a guy who plays cello against the stereotype, and he and I both have to play in a non-standard position due to back problems.

GAHH!!! Steven Isserliss is playing the Dvorak Cello Concerto with the Australian Chamber Orchestra next year!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!

I shorten my endpin so that the cello touches me just below my ribcage, instead of exactly on it. That way I can put more of my upper body's weight into the cello, since my back can't support itself up straight for very long. I also slouch when I'm sitting.

You should play double bass. They are the perfect shape to slouch and sleep in
