The rain had continued to fall all Night. Many had remained under cover, some had ventured out. In the darkness they had waited and listened, but all they heard was the wind in the trees and the sound of the rain. No cannons ... no deaths. The sun rose and all were there to feel the warmth on their faces. Now they just had to do it all again.
