    Definitely overrated, but most successful bands of the 60s and 70s were due to a lack of much competition.  Lennon was a good song-writer.  I'd put them in the top 10 "indie" bands if I considered modern acts, probably.

     

    In other news, 'emo' was really good idea before terrible corporate pop artists put on a bunch of eyeliner and stole the term.
