Lan al'Mandragoran

Being a Dreamwalker does not allow you to enter T'A'R in the flesh, it takes channeling to do so, by opening a gateway.

Sorry, Maj ... is there a quote from the book or from RJ that says that? Just because the only people we've seen (other than Slayer) who do it are channelers, doesn't mean thats that only way to do it ... Slayer does it somehow, and I'm pretty sure its without channeling. I mean, I know you said it was one of the "gifts" given to him, but does that mean its not the same as Dreamwalking? Maybe the "gift" was to make him a Dreamwalker.

Maybe one of the Wise Ones said non-channelers can't do it, I just don't rememeber that. Point it out to me if you would, please.

This is a favorite loony theory of mine, but what if either Luc of Isam was a wolf brother? A wolfbrother that was killed by darkhounds and turned into some sort of "dark" wolfbrother in a way similar to how wolves are turned into darkhounds. We know that wolves exist in TAR and the real world simultaneously, so why couldn't a darkwolfbrother? If only one of them was a wolfbrother it would explain why slayer can only be in one world or the other, and would also explain slayer's fixation on killing wolves.

I don't think Perrin has either... but does that mean he couldn't? Would be an interesting twist if Perrin figured out how to enter the wolf dream at will.

As far as The last battle and Dragons and the Power...

I had the interesting idea that the Dark One got free, saw his forces being nuked by Aes Sedai and Ashaman everywhere... and did SOMETHING to cut everyone from the One Power... including damane, Windfinders... even the Forsaken. No One Power use anywhere. THAT would suddenly change the outlook of things... And make Mat's Dragons VITAL to the forces of good.

I don't think Perrin has either... but does that mean he couldn't?

Well sure, if Slayer can enter TAR without channeling then why not Perrin.

Then again maybe he wouldn't have too, maybe first Slayer battles Perrin and ends up knocking him unconscious. However, before the can deliver the final blow its Lan to the rescue. Because Lan is trying to fight Slayer while at the same time protecting Perrin, Slayer is able to escape into TAR. But guess who's there waiting for him. Perrin and Hopper then confront Salyer forcing him out of TAR where he must finally face the music at the hands of Lan. C'mon guys, there are so many ways that this can work.

Slayer doesn't have yellow eyes, it is unlikely that he is a wolfbrother.

Yes, Perrin has entered physically. The first time in TDR it was done through channeling, but when Faile was captured he went into TAR to try and find her (Reasoning that he had done it before). Hopper made him go back.

Hopper did not make him go back, he stayed there against Hopper's warning (to safe Faile what a bore).

And it was not done with channeling or with his own talent, it was due to the hedgehog ter'angreal.

edit: and no, he wasn't there physically.

edit 2: hum, actually I'm not so sure, but nontheless, it was not due to his own ability that he entered, physically or not.

You're correct Thor, he wasn't there physically, his spirit was there so strongly that his body (which had been left behind, like Faile's) was in danger of dying (by losing its connection to his spirit). Also, you are correct that in that particular case, he did not enter using his wolfbrother abilities, he entered by deliberately moving into the same trap that caught Faile (and was meant for Moiraine). So, no, we haven't seen Perrin physically enter Tel'ara'rhiod, but that is not evidence that he can't. Of course, there is no evidence that he can either. Until now, we have only seen him enter Tel'aran'rhiod using his wolfbrother abilities while sleeping.
