Right. That's a big rumor since 7th book, 7 being the most powerful number, 7 being Harry's last year as a minor/at Hogwarts (even though he's quitting...) etc. BUT, I find it doubtful since that's a few days before the next movie. Information overload and all, with them trying to advertise for both things at once.

 

Other popular dates being speculated about are 7/31/07, since that's both Rowling and Harry's birthday, and October 31, 2007, simply because that's Halloween (All Hallow's Eve,) and the book is called Deathly Hallows... Yeah. Oh, and MY particular guess is somewhere around June 21, 2007, just because of that prophecy from OOTP... "And at the solstice will come a new...""and none will come after..." or whatever. (June 21 marks summer solstice.)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's going to be some time late next year. Mainly because last time, with HBP, it took about a year from the name release to the actual book release. So that's what I'm going with.
