Wait, this thread has Doctor Who, Wheel of Time, AND Emma Stone?!

 

It's only a Firefly and Mila Kunis away from perfect.

As for the whole Rand vs. The Doctor thing, obviously in a straight up fight Rand would win, but with The Doctor, it usually doesn't come to that.

 

Despite some violent things he has done, The Doctor isn't one to go in guns blazing. He has managed to defeat every enemy using brains instead of brawn. 

Even with Balefire, Rand would be facing a time traveling, regenerating being, who has found his way out of worse.

 

What I think is more interesting is the parallels between the two. 

 

While they have many differences, there are a lot of similarities:

 

• Both went through many different personalities
• Both avoided killing unless absolutely necessary
• Both sacrificed their people for the greater good
• Both killed the Satan/The Dark One
• Both had a dark stage 

And lots more I'm sure if someone cares to take the time.
