Well you can do the Northern accent. The Gold part could be a problem though.

I've sold most of my gold. The only gold thing I have left is a victorian shield back gold sovereign.

A fact or backstory like that would probably be difficult to construct and introduce in the limited time available to set up the plot.

 

Unless you are there to sell the coin, your namesake, to a merchant who may not be willing to pay as much as he should...

it has been suggested that we add -sy to the end of his name...

which will make home Tekkosy.....

we've had him 2 days and he took a sunflower seed out by hand today - he seems to be taming really quickly

I could live with calling him Teeks though....
