Well Elgs, I'm sorry this took so long!  I don't have close ties to those living, so it was Marilyn I had to track down.  She was off gallivanting with some Presidents though, so I had to keep calling.  I finally got this out of her:

To your question I say, why not be both?  It would be a sad day if a woman had to choose between being beautiful and clever.  Strive to be beautifully clever.  One does you a disservice.  Beautiful but vapid will leave no one to take you seriously.  Clever but not beautiful will lead to no one giving you the time of day.  

 

Also, make sure to have killer footwear.
