Indeed. They deserved the win. After the mishap with Kediera and then Kramer getting injured, it put them in am uncomfortable position. I think Argentina played the best they have all tournament in the first half, and really should have been one or two up at HT. 

 

However, as they say, it's the result that counts. In the end Germany finished what Argentina couldn't, and dominated the rest of the game. 

 

I feel sorry for Messi - he pulled Argentina through to the final. Not that the rest were crap, but without him, I doubt they would have gotten to even the semi's. 

 

On a tournament scale, Germany deserved to win. They were the most consistent and dominant teams throughout the competition. No shoot-outs and luck to decide their fate, just solid all around. 

Messi mvp is ridiculous for me. Muller and James Rodriguez were better. And Robben.

Robben is a diving git. Has the skill which makes it even more a shame that he goes down at every opportunity.

True, and it's to Messi's credit that he rarely dives.
