Back on topic, I think that Semirhage did not have a plan if she got captured, because she had no idea that weave-breaking ter'angreal existed, and as such she had to have had complete confidence in her ability to leash Rand.

 

Now as far as her still seeming composed, well that is because she underestimates who she is dealing with. She, along with the other Forsaken, view current age Randlanders as half-trained children, so why would she expect they would be able to break her when her jailers in the Age of Legends couldn''t?
