Why is everyone standing around saying "glares" at one another?

i used to do that as a kid when visitors were leaving at night

I used to always be a dare devil and look at bright lights briefly.... then I started driving and realized I should stop that habit when behind the wheel.

I can't deal with bright lights. I had a whole couple of days when I was younger where I could barely deal with sunlight. 

How do you handle being on stage then?

I'm better with artificial light than I am with sunlight. It's usually just adjusting between the two that's the issue. And cellists don't usually have to stare at lights fortunately. Spotlights I've had are usually diluted with smoke machines :p

Charmin' Gnarly and I did a Pirate Sports report about the Land Divin' Premiere League Finals on Pentecost Island some years ago
