Brandon talks to everyone

One of my favorite conversations was with the Borders store manager who had all kinds of nice things to say about having a volunteer "crew" there to help keep things running smoothly. More than that, he said that Brandon and Harriet are among the nicest guests they have (and they've had a lot) for stopping and talking to each person in line and asking if they have questions or anything to share. He said many authors simply spend an hour and a half with their heads down, no eye-contact, no personalization, no talking.
