I have heard about that but I have decided I am not going to start reading anything else at all until I finish WoT to ensure I don't take any breaks from it haha, I am currently adding other novels to a TBR list for after I am done with WoT which with my current speed of reading won't be any earlier than halfway through 2026 maybe😅

I have heard that especially during the so-called 'slog' it was painful to wait for a book for ages only to have not too much happen in the next book 😅 (I have watched quite a few spoiler-free booktube reviews of WoT so have heard about 'the slog' many times haha) Oh I see, in that case maybe I'll start the show after I've finished book 4 and will share my thoughts on it afterwards! I'm glad you have a positive opinion of the show. Oh haha reminds me of my childhood friend who said she never started a book before reading the last sentence, or was it the last page... This approach could never be for me!

Does each season cover 1 book pretty much or it's a bit more mixed? I have heard the show has changed a lot of things and not everyone likes it for that reason, but I definitely want to watch it at some point. (I was an active member of a Harry Potter forum as a kid 🫣 when I was about 10-13 and made a lot of friends from there lol, some of them still very close friends to this day, and I do get nostalgic for those days.)

Hi all! I had been wanting to read The Wheel of Time for years - since I was a teenager - and I decided to finally get to it at the grand old age of 30. I wish I had indeed read it back when I was a teenager and had the chance to be part of all the discussions and speculations and the wait for each book to come out but hey, I guess the most important thing in the end is experiencing the vast and rich world of the books. I'm currently on chapter 42 of The Eye of the World and excited to finish it soon and move on to The Great Hunt. Thanks for having me! Alyssa x
