Celebrating RJ, celebrating fans

Today marks the second anniversary of Robert Jordan's passing. Harriet described this morning in her hometown of Charleston as "a gorgeous day outside, a terribly sad one inside."   It never ceases to amaze me at the amount of influence RJ had on all of us. Whether you're a long-time fan of the series who visits all of the WoT websites, or a casual fan who has enjoyed his books over the years, think we can all agree that there was something incredibly special about the man. He loved his fan

The 4th Age Podcast – Episode 53 – The Gathering Storm Review

Virginia, Andrew G and Amir discuss Dragonmount founder and host Jason Denzel's recent review of The Gathering Storm. Jason was indeed blessed by the Light - Brandon and Harriet set him up with an official advance reading copy of the book! We forgot to ask him if it was in the form of a ter'angreal such as Elayne and Nynaeve found in Ebou Dar, but in any case we are all envious in the extreme, to the extent of plotting like a bunch of Forsaken as to how we might relieve him of such a burden. ;-)

Brandon Sanderson talks about WoT books beyond AMOL

Since Robert Jordan passed away, there have been reports and speculation about what would become of the "other" Wheel of Time novels he had been planning. The topic came to light at A Memory of Light (the final book in the main series).   The topic came up again recently this week when Dominic, from the Keeping the Door][/i] blog.   Obviously there's a lot of speculation going on. So we asked Brandon if he could please summarize and explain where things are. Here's what he said.

I have read The Gathering Storm

It would be an understatement to say that a lot has happened since Knife of Dreams. It's been nearly four years since the release of what Robert Jordan believed was going to be his penultimate novel in The Wheel of Time series, and nearly two years since he passed away. Two very long years. But the Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills. The story is not yet done, and there is more to be told. Much of Robert Jordan's life was tied to these books, and it was important to him, I believe, to see them do
