Although it's several days late, here are two very good reports from the Santa Cruz, CA book signing event. Both are from people who drove several hundred miles to go to the event. (Note to DM staff...next time, organize a ride share!)   The first report is from Jeremiah:       The second report is from Sean:     Thanks to both of you guys!

Dragonpage podcast interviews Robert Jordan

Dragonpage, a popular fantasy-based podcast, had an opportunity to do an audio interview with Robert Jordan. It's pretty interesting, and an enjoyable program to listen to. Beware of KoD spoilers though! RJ comes right out and blatantly gives away several plot points.   One interesting tidbit is about how RJ is considering writing a non-WOT short story for a fantasy anthology.   More Info [ Dragonpage issue #189 with Robert Jordan ]

Robert Jordan Tour Report: Lexington, KY

Jarrod send us this lengthy report on the Lexington, KY book signing.   Thanks, Jarrod!   Another report came in from Robert MacCloud who briefly said that another customer asked Robert Jordan about his time in Saudi Arabia. Turns out that the person had mistaken him for Robert Jordan, the US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia who had been appointed by President Bush!   Yet another report comes in from Kevin Dean, one of Dragonmount's staff members who attended the event.     More

Knife of Dreams goes #1

Knife of Dreams is currently the #1 best-selling book in the United States. The report came from Tor today that the NEW YORK TIMES reported KoD as being at the top of their list. Some more details : Most of the books in the WoT series have been gone #1 on the list when they came out.   It is expected that KoD will be #1 on the London Times as well, but that's still speculation on our part.   Congratulations, RJ!

Robert Jordan Tour Report: West Chester, PA

We've received two reports so far from people who attended the book signing in West Chester, PA today. The first one came from Jennifer:     Thanks for the full report, Jennifer, and for the pictures. And kudos to whoever it was that started the happy birthday song for RJ. I wonder if our news article that reminded them, or just a very attentive fan?   The second report comes from Zach, who gave us this tidbit, and plans to send an audio clip of the event. If it's not in local bookstore, then your local bookstore is either behind the times or is actually a cooking store.   After you've read the book, be sure to come back and discuss everything on our message boards. Also, check out Robert Jordan's US tour schedule to see if he's coming to a city near you. If you go to

At Robert Jordan's request, we have turned on comments for his official blog.   A few weeks ago we activated RJ's blog, which allows him to share his thoughts with his fans. The blog is hosted here on Dragonmount, but is being syndicated by other WoT websites. You can read it on this website, on one of the other sites running it, or use your own RSS reader.   As of now, comments are enabled so you can reply to his posts. Yes, he will probably read them. So be nice!   More Info R
