Hi banders I have been MIA a lot lately and it doesnt really look like its going to get any better. Between a mum who is in and out of hospital, work, trying to lose weight by going to the gym and my kids (esp with summer holidays coming up soon) I just dont have the time to devote to the Band as XO. This probably belongs in the general WoT discussion board, but to be honest, I'd much rather talk about it with the Band instead of random people who I never interact with! I was just thinking about my opinion of various WoT books after reading a thread bashing Sanderson's work on the series. I was also thinking about how to me, there is no one favorite-- I have several that are favorites for different reasons. So to make it easier, tell us.... What are your favorite three books, what are your least favorite three books, and why?

For the remainder of September and into October we will be discussing the differences and the growth of Mat throughout the first two books of the series. Disney just bought Lucasfilm. At first I thought this was from The Onion, but it looks legit. If this is true, I don't know what to think. The good: Lucas is not in charge, so there is hope that the new episodes won't be half-baked like 1-3. If C3PO and R2D2 are back, they could potentially not come back with his 3rd-grade humor and puns. There is a TON of potential-- the Timothy Zahn trilogy (Mara Jade, etc) is pretty much considered canon by most fans (technically Lucas approves all of the book plots, but that one in particular is chief among fan favorites). I've been reading some of John Cage's lectures and essays and it got me to thinking about some of his compositions. Here is one of two new games for the Band of the Red Hand ORG, based on one of our ORG themes (travel) and the simple game, 20 Questions. Rules Everyone should know the rules for 20 Questions. But if you don't, here they are for this game: - The aim is to work out the answer that has been thought up through a series of questions and guesses, and aiming to be correct within 20 turns - Only ONE question/guess can be asked in a post at a time (i.e. no multipal questions and guesses). I included Star Wars because it's also awesome and the biggest rival of Star Trek anyway. Edit: We're getting some pretty good votes. Added another couple of options. Also, there is a possiblity that I advocate so strongly on Star Wars' behalf because it shaped most of my rather recent childhood and have not particularly given Star Trek much of a chance.
