This is a subject I often think about. These thoughts do come to me when I dip into the books and read them. But if WoT was ever made into a film, I always think what music I would put with certain scenes. Sadly, I don't have all my WoT books with me, so I can't give any specific examples to start this discussion of, but I was wondering what music you guys would put with the story. Please use any music, whether popular or classic, and give a reasoning why. I'll start off by suggesting that I think Blind Guardian, a German metal band, would be good start for the music. Some of their previous albums have a strong LotR prescense to them, and I am sure they could do some…

As we move closer to the festive season, I thought it would be a nice idea to see each others' Christmas Trees. So let's see pictures of your Christmas trees! Below are a couple of pictures of the rather crappy Christmas Tree we have in our house I share with friends up here in London. Please note this is the first tree I have done from scratch! Picture Number 1 Picture Number 2 When I get home to Wales, I'll get a picture of my parent's tree, which will be 100% better!

Well everyone I don’t know how to say this but I’m leaving DM not for good mind you but I’m no longer going to be active or trying to earn points it was fun while it lasted and I will miss you all I’ll pop in every now and then for a random post but that’s all I’ll be doing

  21. Started by Samuraiflip05,

When it comes to your favorite Holiday songs, are you more inclined to listen to the classics recorded by the early artists, or are you always looking for your favorite current singer/band to release some updated versions. Try to be descriptive if you can. Don't say "I like newer, cause old music sucks," or "These punks and their hippity hop are ruining the songs." Give reason where possible. "I like Eartha Kitt's version of Santa Baby, because her voice had just the right amount of innocence and sex appeal for the song." Most of all have fun this is a chance to justify your favorite holiday songs, and why they are the best ever.

  22. Started by Samuraiflip05,

We are trying to come up with an accurate count of Archer membership...(LOA's, MIA's, Retirements). If you could check the Proboard site, and post your current status, that would be great. I apologize in advance to anyone who is missing from the list.

How does everyone feel about Brandon Sanderson completing A Memory of Light? I am personally not familiar with his work. Although, if Harriet liked it enough to award hiim the project, it must be worth a read.

The trilogy is about a princess, Rose (short for Rosalyn Paige LeNoir), who ends up having to go about challenging for the throne of her own country after her father's untimely death. So, just tell me which one you like best, and if you have any ideas! Thanks! *sets out a plate of brownies too, just because they're good to have*

Just like a smell can take you back in time to a certain memory so can music. Sometimes a song long forgotten is played and it takes you back to your childhood. For some that maybe not so long ago for others a little longer. So what song/s trigger memories of being a child for you. Okay I'll start with one. One of the earliest memories I have is of Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep, by Middle of the Road. The memory I have of this song is not that happy as the song has the line 'Woke up this morning and my mamma was gone'. At a tender age of ??, well I was quite young ;), I thought that it might come true and my mum would leave, it upset me alot. :(

So if you like good music and have the money to spare i heartily recommend them to you, especially any of the live cds. Also seeing as i am in a recommending type of mood, try the following http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/3439103/The-Song-Remains-The-Same/Product.html Now that it has been…
