The White Tower & Warders

What would you use them for? The obvious thing would be for usage at the Battlegrounds, but what else could they be used for? Ie Sue Sedai has 13 points, Peggy Sedai has 21 ... so what? Greg Gaidin has 14 points, Tom the Algai has 3 ... what is the effect of that? Looking for ideas here 🙂

What is everyone having on their table this Thanksgiving? I am amazed at the lengths that I have seen people already talking about the cooking and preparation for the meal. Complete respect. I hated cooking for the festive season, and so I am very impressed at the industry shown here. Not ever actually having celebrated Thanksgiving, there is not a lot of personal input that I can give. But I thought I would share one of my Mum's recipes for a salad just incase someone is needing a last minute addition that requires no effort. It's that time of year again! People are meeting up to celebrate with their loved ones, and the stores put their stuff on sale. The cornucopias are overflowing, and the harvest is in! Well, that was what happened back in the old days, the farmers were celebrating the end of the harvest, and through the years that has blended with local customs and turned into the Thanksgiving celebration we know today. This is of course a time we are thankful for having enough to eat, but I feel Thanksgiving is also a good opportunity to reflect on what else we are thankful for in our lives. I thank my Lucky Stars I'm not superstitious, but ... many people are. Some of those people believe that Friday the 13th is a very unlucky day. Others believe it to be their lucky day, on the other hand. As Min said to Rand, there must be positive to balance out the negative. What do you think about the matter? Where does your Ajah / the Warders stand on it, and how would you handle the day if you believed it to be unlucky?

Our condolences to all who loved, admired and were subject to her. I was not one of her subjects myself, but all my sisters were before our country gained independence. I still thought of her as "my Queen", in a way though. That makes me think of Rand calling Morgase "my Queen" 🙂

I've mentioned Wild Earth before, I think? This is an online nature program which focuses on live streaming safaris from a few private game reserves in the northern part of the country. Well, Monday evening's live safari had a surprising twist! One of our favourite guides, Trishana, went live from Cape Town! If you have a look from about 3h22m and a few seconds in, you'll move from Lauren (another favourite) to Trish in Cape Town. She starts off in a section between Hout Bay (which is one of the places where I grew up) and an area about half way to Town itself. It hops back to Andrew and Lauren and then back to Trish. I mean...clearly Balefire is on my shortlist of things I eventually can't wait to see visually adapted (I of course believe this will be a huge success and we'll get the whole series adapted - duh right?) However - which weaves can you not wait to see have words made into vision? We already know of a few from the teaser trailer.
