I had a realization a few weeks ago. I realized, that even though I know many of you quite well and I've met you in person, I don't know what you look like every day. I don't dress the way I do at Dragon*Con every day (thank god) and I'm sure you don't either. Today I wore a red top with three quarter length sleeves and a black stretchy pencil skirt with an ankle length hem. I went to the gym and wore stretchy black track pants with a white stripe down the side and a pink tank top. I tend to wear heels, because I'm short. Aka the "I really want to be at Dragon*Con but for reasons far surpassing my understanding I'm stuck here"-thread. The boards are going to be quiet over the weekend because a lot of people has gone off to D*Con. Me, I was supposed to go but couldn't cause of money. Plane tickets are very expensive. I imagine that right about now the DMers will be getting ready to go out to Mama Ninfa's for Mexican food. There will be great food, great drink and great friends. Then there will be a party on the 10th floor of the Marriott. Me, I'm here, all alone in my apartment, and for the next five days my heart will be in Atlanta, Georgia. How are you holding up?

I went in for my regular prenatal appointment on Tuesday and everyone involved decided I wasn't going home with the baby still on the inside. :) So... Alexander Travis Lott born 8/15/06 at 6:31pm 8lbs 9oz, 19.25" Baby's doing good, Mommy's doing good, Son #1 seems to like his baby brother so far, everyone's happy to be home.

You all are going to find this funny especially Jade. There is a guy I work with at Disneyland whose name is Esteban and every time I hear his name I think Esteban Diego I couldn't figure out for the life of me why I always thought that till I was reading the D*Con thread on the meets board. I'll be gone for a few days. Ernesto is supposed to just graze us, but NOAA says winds will be gusting up to 50mph around my home, and the power company will turn off power at sustained 40mph winds (learned that from Charley). Schools are gonna close b/c busses can't run and all our schools double as shelters. Looks like tomorrow is gonna just be nasty (let's hope for nasty and not disastrous). Hope to be back online by Thursday, but these storms are anything but predictable (learned that from Charley as well). Hey guys! I am completely editing this post now because I seemed to have a minor brain relapse and sort of messed it up. So here we go again :P We're bringing back Book of the Month, yay! But instead of doing it like we used to we're going to have four genres (fiction, non-fiction, fantasy and a classic), and while we're going to discuss all four books, you don't have to read all four of them, in fact you don't have to read any of them. On the 1st of September I'm going to launch the brand-spanking-new White Tower newsletter. In said newsletter there is going to be a list of major happenings over the last month. Now, there is no secret that I'm a very lazy person, and a queen of procrastination, and as such is of the idea that having someone do the job for me is an excellent option.
